  5. A. This package contains:

  7. 1. VPSMac keyboard layout ver 1.0

  18. B. System requirement: 
  19.      System 7.0 or better and any commercial Desk Top 
  20.      Publishing software (MacWrite, Word...)
  21.                              
  22. C. Installation:
  23.  
  24. 1. After system booted up from hard disk, double click on hard disk icon to 
  25.    open hard disk window. ** NOTE: Do not open system folder icon **
  26.  
  27. 2. Insert disk contains VPSMac into floppy drive and double click to open
  28.    floppy  window.
  29.  
  30. 3. While the floppy window is active, select all files EXCEPT README file and drop on system
  31.     folder icon.  ** NOTE: Not an open system folder window **
  32.  
  33. 4. The system will prompt this message:
  34.         
  35.    These items need to be stored in special places inside
  36.    the System Folder in order to be available to the Macintosh. 
  37.    Put them where they belong.
  38.  
  39.    Hit Return for Okay
  40.  
  41. The system will copy files from floppy to your hard disk.
  42. You've finished the installation. Quit all applications and reboot the system.
  43.  
  44.  *** NOTE: If the system didn't promp you with the above message
  45.                  You probably have dropped the files on an open system folder 
  46.                  or you are not running System 7.
  47.  
  48. D. Using the VPSMac driver:
  49.  
  50. 1. Launch your application as normal.
  51.  
  52. 2. Go to Apple menu and select Control Panels. Find and double click on
  53.    Keyboard icon.
  54.  
  55. 3. You will be presented with a Keyboard window which contain VPSMac and other
  56.    keyboard layout.
  57.  
  58. 4. Select VPSMac by clicking on it. Close the window and get back to your
  59.    application.
  60.  
  61. 5. Select one of the VPS font, you can now type Vietnamese on the Mac.
  62.  
  63. E. How to input Vietnamese with VPSMac
  64.  
  65.     Accent marks: Accent mark must be entered before typing the vowel.
  66.     Key number 6: Da^'u sa<'c             
  67.     Key number 7: Da^'u huye^`n         
  68.     Key number 8: Da^'u hoi?
  69.     Key number 9: Da^'u nga~
  70.     Key number 0: Da^'u na<.ng
  71.  
  72. The circumflex: CONTROL key in combination with a, o, e will produce a^, o^,
  73. e^. For capitals, use shift or caps lock key.
  74.  
  75. All other marks: OPTION key will produce breve, horn or d bar depends on the
  76. key combination.
